LetBeMe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

  • Account info: your name and email address, provided through Google Sign-In.
  • Usage data: daily check-ins, streaks, group membership, and challenge progress.
  • Device info: browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics.
  • Payment info: if you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the LetBeMe service.
  • To show your progress to your challenge group (streak, check-ins).
  • To send important account notifications (e.g. billing receipts via Paddle).
  • To prevent abuse and maintain platform security.

3. Firebase & Google Services

LetBeMe uses Firebase (by Google) for authentication and data storage. Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore and governed by Google's security practices. We may also use Firebase Analytics for aggregate, anonymous usage statistics. No personal data is sent to third-party analytics services beyond what Google already processes through Firebase.

4. Paddle Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com, our payment provider. When you upgrade, you interact directly with Paddle's checkout. Paddle stores your payment details and issues receipts. We only receive confirmation that a subscription is active or cancelled. Paddle's privacy policy applies to all payment processing.

5. Cookies

We use cookies solely for authentication (Firebase Auth session cookies). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, though this will sign you out.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with:

  • Firebase / Google — for hosting and auth.
  • Paddle — for payment processing.
  • Other group members — your display name, streak, and check-in status are visible to your challenge group.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics (e.g. total check-ins) may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights or to request account deletion, email us at support@letbeme.com.

9. Children

LetBeMe is not intended for users under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
